Inspiration for your weekend projects

Realistic scenes day and night and exceptional modeling inside and out highlight this week’s featured photos. Click on the links below to see standout work from your fellow model railroaders. Do you have a project you’re particularly proud of? Be sure to share it on our social media pages and it, too, could be featured in an upcoming post.

Nonstop Action
There's no such thing as quitting time on the railroad. Behind the scenes, an army of workers handle whatever it takes to keep the trains moving day and night. As the clock ticks towards four AM, a new crew is about to go on duty in the busy intermodal terminal serving Bradley Dyer's layout.
And They’re Off!
Who is going to win this transition-era race – the steamer or the diesel? Whatever the outcome it’ll be fun to watch on this HO railroad built by @mopacmike.
Employees Only!
Industrial railroads offer loads of modeling possibilities, whether serving one or several customers. Structures become the scenery, and switching is the heart of operations. Bryce Walat takes us behind the scenes for a closer look at how his road serves the local steel mill.
A Grand Station
Modeler Timmy Ellem Chapman added interior lighting and scratchbuilt details to turn this train station kit into a one-of-a-kind, signature structure. Click on the white arrows to see more of the project and be sure to follow his work @timmysminiatureweatheringworks.
Night Lights
Cities never sleep, and with lights blazing everywhere, Morgan Davies' downtown is no exception! Working lights transform any layout, and Morgan has taken it a step beyond with streetlights, and autos with working lights.

We hope you enjoy these scenes and discussions as much as we enjoy bringing them to you! Check out our newest announcements in the recent New Product Express video.
